Vintage and natural

I love natural and vintage finds...
They always seem so much more special than the "modern" ones we are bombarded every day...

Natural and handmade is always special because it is never identical, small wooden lines make every button different, the wonderful textures of each individual circle combine into a whole new feel...

As for painting, this teapot is just the thing to drink your tea from, seems so cozy and special... Unlike the classic ones we find in all the stores around us... this one has the soul of the artist painted all over it...

And the spoons have history... I can just imagine people admiring them when they come for dinner....

Oh well.... see for yourself

My Workplace

I am supposed to take a few pictures of my workplace for an interview for a creative site in Croatia :) I'm still working on it but this is what I got so far...

This old wooden box is one of the most beautiful boxes I have ever seen, it's way older than me and it was handmade, I don't know when or by who it was made, but it has been in my family for a long time :)
I use it to store my threads, needles, basically all my sewing supplies...

I have to take a few more pictures, but I'm waiting for a little more inspiration...
I don't like it when I have to do things under pressure so I always start way before the deadline :)

Woodland fairies

How do you go about making a treasury on Etsy?
Do you do the most common thing and just make one according to color?

I love our weekly challenges with the TreasurySupremeTeam! They always give me a new perspective, I make a treasury using something I never maybe even thought of.

For example today - Emily's item (PeriwinkleNuthatch)

House Fly Cufflinks, Shrink Plastic, Insect, Entomology, Bug, Wearable Art, Steampunk, Father's Day, For Him, Gift for Men

The first thing that came to mind was - a fly?!?! What will I do with this :)
Then with just a few seconds of thinking a whole woodland fairy dream came to my thoughts... And this is what I got :)
Hope you like it!

Just a winter day

So it's kind of cold here :)
I opened my window yesterday and a bunch of snow was just lying there...And after I came back into the room of course some of it was on the floor!

Oh well...

So it didn't snow yesterday and I thought I could take a picture of my work on the window, kind of "vintage" atmosphere with the window being about 100 years old :D

So today I'm working on something colorful!

A few almost finished beads....

And a lot more to come :)

 In these colors!

Enjoy the rest of your day :)
I'm adding a little color to mine!

Sewing project

I always liked doing handmade things, and when I found Etsy I just spent hours looking and admiring things people make.

My grandmother bought me an old sewing machine for my birthday a few years back, she has one just the same, the only difference is the one she has is green.

So recently I wanted to complete a tutorial for a pincushion because I keep my needles in a little tube and always have to take all the needles out before I can choose the one I want, this always frustrated me so I decided to take things into my own hands.
I used this great tutorial - Pincushion tutorial

I always over-complicate things so I almost spent more time drawing the little squares on the fabric than I did sewing it all together :)

All in all, I love the way it looks, and the little ribbon fabric is too cute :)
